Scleroseforeningens forskningsudvalg har traditionen tro været samlet for at uddele næste års forskningsmidler.

Tirsdag den 27. september var Scleroseforeningens forskningsudvalg endnu en gang samlet for at uddele forskningsmidlerne for 2017.
Forskningsudvalget behandlede 34 ansøgninger. Der er samlet blevet uddelt 8.146.000 kroner til 21 projekter.
De støttede forskningsprojekter i 2017 er:
- Cortical lesions in primary sensorimotor hand area and their impact on dexterity in multiple sclerosis: a 7T MRI study: 715.000.
- MS prognosis and treatment response - A nationwide register based cohort study: 500.000.
- Post-transcriptional regulation of tumor necrosis factor and other microglial-produced cytokines: 600.000.
- Tarm-hjerne-aksens betydning for immunaktivering, sygdomsaktivitet og behandlingsrespons ved Multipel Sclerose: 500.000.
- Viral gene activation and epigenetic control in the brain of patients with Multiple Sclerosis: 441.000.
- Classifying loss of suppressive function in FoxA1+Tregulatory cells in patients with progressive MS: 400.000.
- Identification of immune B and T cell epitopes associated with multiple sclerosis: 400.000.
- Exploring future directions for clinical magnetic resonance imaging technologies in multiple sclerosis: 250.000.
- Multiple Sclerosis: The role of perinatal inflammation and vitamin D status: 400.000.
- Modulation of Eph-ephrin signaling: Novel strategies to enhance myelin repair in multiple sclerosis: 250.000.
- Functional characterization of the multiple sclerosis risk gene SORCS3: 283.000.

- A population-based epidemiological and serological study of the neuromyelitis optica spectrum: 400.000.

- Undersøgelse af liraglutides potentiale til behandling af Multiple Sklerose: 150.000.

- Negativt ladede sukkerstoffer på T lymfocytter som mål for terapeutisk behandling med Copaxone: 77.000.
